8/28/1994	Three medical officers of the Field Ambulance unit were killed when the Indian contingent was trying to stem the war in Somalia.
8/9/1942	Mahatma Gandhi after announcing 'do or die' slogan alongwith 'Quit India Movement' at Bombay was arrested along with 50 others. Gandhiji was interned in Aga Khan Palace at Poona. This Do or Die slogan deep rooted in Indian hearts and resulted in nationwide Quit India Movment. This day is commemorated as ""Kranti Day"". Govind Vallabh Pant was send to Ahmednagar Jail, while Sarojini Naidu and many other leaders were also arrested.
10/28/1627	Jahangir, Mughal emperor, weak from asthma and no food, died at Bhimghar near Kashmir. He was buried at Shahdara (Lahore) on the banks of the Ravi. During his last days, he remained in the custody of Aurangzeb. ( 28/10 or 7/11).
